Comments:	I do not work for Aperion, I am a customer who spent almost a year researching speakers while my home was being renovated. I don't like writing reviews either but was compelled to write this one after being blown away by the performance of this speaker system. I bought the 5.1 system driven by an Onkyo TX-SR 706 receiver with two Outlaw Audio Model 2200 M-Block Amps (200W each), one for each of the 6B bookshelf speakers. Although I bought this system for listening to music I occasionally use it for movie surround sound. I may be one of the few people who doesn't like to watch movies with surround sound, something I don't like about gunshots coming from behind me, probably because I live in New Orleans. Regardless of venue, the speakers have a crisp sound at all volume levels and they do not distort at extremely high volumes. While listening to music I keep edging the volume up as high as bearable, then a little more, and the distortion I keep expecting to hear never arrives. Since I'm not an audiophile or a writer the best definition I can give with regards to music is they are tight, crisp, clean, and clear. Right now I am only listening to digital music from cable and from my laptop which is mostly in mp3. One thing I never expected to use but is now a necessity is the remote control included with the Bravus 10D subwoofer. When switching styles or sources of music you can raise or lower the level of the subwoofer, this is very handy as some styles are more or less bass driven. One or two clicks of the remote up or down sets the bass to match the music you are listening to perfectly. I've had friends over who have spent in the neighborhood of $10,000, some more, listening to this system. Their jaw drops, everyone who has experienced them is blown away including the installer who accessed Aperion Audio from my laptop after installation. My installer has installed surround sound in over a hundred homes in the area and claims he's buying Aperion for his home that is nearing completion. Surround sound for movies is incredible with the few times I have used it for such. The realism of the sound and proximity of it's location is dead accurate. Maybe because I've never experienced a system quite this good is why I've shied away from surround. Not the case anymore, I'm starting to become a bigger fan of surround for movies and the 6B Fusion HD's are the sole reason for my evolving. I know you may be questioning yourself as I did whether to buy Aperion since you may not have listened to them. I had the same feeling but I knew I had a thirty day in home trial period so after reading the reviews I took the chance. Even before I had tweaked the system and calibrated my receiver, I knew this system was not going back within the first thirty seconds of listening. I am fortunate enough that I could have spent any amount desirable for speakers but I know now that I don't want or need more than I have with this system.

The Aperion Bravus 10D is an attractive, potent little subwoofer at a reasonable price. It certainly doesn't have the output and extension of its larger peers but that’s a tradeoff one must live with if they want a small box to better blend into their room décor. In that aspect the Bravus 10D is all aces. While the Bravus 10D has impressive output for its size, I'd recommend it for small to medium sized rooms (< 2500ft^3). I'd personally recommend saving your dollars to purchase a second 10D which if strategically placed in the room provide the output of a single larger subwoofer, with smoother bass response for your entire listening area. After hearing dual subwoofers properly set up in a theater room you will find you can never go back to a single subwoofer system. Given the diminutive size of the 10D, it would be very easy to place two of these in most family rooms without drawing much attention to them. There should be no excuses for NOT setting up dual subs in your theater room. The new tweeter reaches higher and presents a smoother sonic signature. The ringing of cymbals is more natural and less constrained…the 6B’s tweeter had the most pleasant sparkle.” “The new midrange offers a wider soundstage, and clearer dynamics, especially when listening to the xylophone in Steely Dan’s “Aja”.
