“For movie playback, I give the Series 6 a big thumbs-up: These speakers can really sizzle, kick and punch on demanding soundtracks. And I was quite pleased with the system’s prowess with music, though the towers' somewhat pulled-back, relaxed midrange prevented me from falling completely in love. Aperion Audio Intimus 422 Harmony System

After allowing the speakers to play pretty much continuously for several days to allow them to "break in," the really serious auditioning began. Batman Begins was my first movie experience with the Intimus 422/S-8 system. This was a good choice for me because I had just watched this movie on my regular system. Without going into a lot of detail let me just say that my regular system has a whole lot more of everything (i.e. power, speaker size). To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. Soundstage, claity, and fullness were all more than expected. The first thing to catch my attention was the integration between the subwoofer and the satellites...
...Aperion, in my very humble opinion, is walking the walk. I have seen products costing up to three times as much as the Aperions, but I did not feel that they were any better quality."

Aperion Audio's recipe for success couldn't be more straightforward: offer state-of-the-art customer service, build great-sounding speakers and sell them direct, via the Internet. By eliminating all of the middlemen's profits, Aperion offers a level of build quality rarely achieved at this price range. A couple of years ago, we were wowed by the sound (and the gorgeous looks) of the company's 522 bookshelf speaker. The company has tweaked it slightly and rechristened it as the 532. While messing with success is always a dicey proposition, we're happy to report the "newly voiced" Intimus surround system is not only as impressive as its predecessor, the sound quality is actually slightly improved.”

“From product packaging to product features and performance, Aperion Audio has impressed me big time. The product packaging and the accessories included truly show the company’s care for its customers. The build quality and the finish of the Intimus 422 speaker system, together with the S-8 and S-10 subwoofers, are excellent and about as good as you can get for the price. Versatile" is probably the right word to describe this system. With flexible placement and mounting options, and strong all-around performance, it was hard not to like this system. The Intimus 422/S-8 speaker system is one of the best compact systems I have ever tried. And if you are still not satisfied in the bass department, you can replace the S-8 subwoofer with the bigger S-10, which will give you lower bass extension and higher SPL capability. But regardless whether you choose to match the 422 speaker system with the S-8 or the S-10 subwoofer, you can be sure that you've made the right decision that value-wise is hard to beat. Highly recommended!"

But I will tell you that the speakers are real performers in the home theater, and you get a serious finish that will enhance most decors.
Many consumers need a system that is unassuming and will fit in a small to moderate-sized room, but they don’t want to sacrifice quality of performance either. The EdgeAudio system bespeaks quality and fits the bill on many levels. You can get better sound, but this would mean larger speakers and more money. At the price point, I don’t see how you can go wrong with this system.
