How do you handle quality control and testing?
Prior to speaker assembly, each driver is individually tested to ensure it meets our high standards. After our speakers are assembled, each speaker is tested for proper polarity. The frequency response of each speaker is also graphed, ensuring that it is within +/- 3dB of our accepted reference level. Each subwoofer receives a frequency sweep to ensure that it performs within manufacturer''s specifications. The Subwoofer Level, Crossover, and Phase are manually checked at both 115 and 230 Volt settings. Each cabinet is visually scrutinized for a flawless finish. Once the speakers arrive in the US, we go through another round of sonic and visual quality control. Random testing is done to ensure a 98% or higher Quality Assurance.
How long have you been in business?
Originally called EdgeAudio, Aperion Audio was started in 1998 in our CEO's garage. Within months it quickly turned into millions of dollars in capital and we continue to grow and thrive. Our name underwent a name change, emerging as Aperion Audio, Inc. in September of 2001. For more information about Aperion Audio, please visit Aperion Who.

I heard you were called "Edge Audio"? Why did you change the name?
Yes, back in the good ol' days when we first started up, we were Edge Audio. We're still the same company, although we've grown a lot since then! The name change was in response to growing international demand for our products, which called for the use of a brand name that could be registered worldwide.
My guru was great - how do i tip him?
Our guru's love getting CDs, chocolate, classic cars, custom bicycles, and various edibles. Oh and really cool kites. (Really, don't worry about tipping these guys. They thrive off happy customers and are paid in hugs.)

Where is Aperion audio headquartered?
Aperion Audio is a U.S. company headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Our address is 18151 SW Boones Ferry Road, Portland, OR 97224. In addition to our Portland offices, we have an engineering and product-development division in Eugene, OR. For more info about Aperion Audio, please visit Aperion Who.
Why don't you make your speakers in the US?
For two simple reasons. One, manufacturing overseas allows us to be much more competitive on price. Two, the Guangzhou Province in mainland China represents the central hub for parts manufacturing. By assembling the speakers closer to the parts, prices stay low and our time to market is greatly reduced. As markets change, we may find ourselves manufacturing here in the states. Ultimately, we're most concerned about offering amazing speakers at a great price.
