    Good Afternoon,
A curious question that all replies are welcome. Regarding the Verus Forte towers. Is there any benefit in bi-wiring or bi-amping these speakers? Also, regarding the speaker terminal jumpers being made of brass, is there any benefit in replacing them with pure OFC wire jumpers? Thanks in advance for your response.

    Hello Gerald,

I am not a big proponent of bi-wiring myself because all it really does is increase the gauge of the wire so in my opinion you might as well just use a heavy 12 or 10 gauge wire and call it good.

Bi-amping on the other hand does send more power to the speaker and helps keep the signals between the drivers in phase, so I think it’s not a bad idea although I don’t think it is required to get great sound of our speakers either. If you have the extra channels available from your amp or receiver then it certainly can’t hurt.

Having said that, you can find plenty of people out there to disagree with me on both points, so take my thoughts on the matter for what they are worth.

As for the jumpers, they are actually gold plated as our the binding posts. Copper has a higher conductance than gold, but since the posts themselves are gold I doubt that copper jumpers would make much difference. However I have only heard our speakers with the gold plated jumpers that that we supply.

I hope that helps but please let me know if you have any other questions, thanks!
