Well It seems like I keep coming back to this site over and over again and pretty much need to be convinced on why I should buy Aperion speakers!!! My family room is about 20×15 and the system I keep looking at is the Intimus 4T hybrid Sd. Not 100% set on my receiver but I'm trying to decide between the pioneer vsx 1020-k or the Yamaha Rx-V667. Any help would be great, thanks.October 7, 2010 at 4:48 pm #2811
I think the 4T Hybrid SD will be a good choice for your size room, the only thing I would be concerned about would be the center. Since that's where the dialogue is located it's a critical speaker for home theater and if you are sitting 10 feet or more from the screen the 5C will do a better job of delivering that dialogue clearly to your sitting position, so you might consider that upgrade.
As for why you should buy our speakers over other brands, there are a couple strengths I would point to with our speakers. First, we use a silk dome tweeter that to my ear provides a more smooth and natural high frequency response than the metallic dome tweeters that a lot of other companies use. Second, we use a fiberglass weave woofer that gives a fast and tight response with an impressive amount of bass extension in comparison with some of the poly based woofers out there. Finally, we give you the 30 day trial where you can get a full refund for any reason and since we even cover return shipping there is absolutely no risk for you to check our speakers out.
In terms of those receivers, neither is my favorite, the Yamaha tends to make our speakers sound a bit bright and the non-Elite Pioneers don't have the best amp sections in terms of the amount of power they can deliver. If you do end up upgrading to the 5C and give me a call I can give you the bundle deal on Marantz SR5005, which will make it comparable in price to the models that you are looking at and give you a sizable bump in performance. If you don't want to do that, I'd recommend looking at the Onkyo 608 or Denon 1911.
I hope that helps but please let me know if you have any other questions, thanks!October 8, 2010 at 10:33 am #2655
Thanks for the reply. As far as the receivers go I was leaning more towards the pioneer because of it's features but sound quality and power output would definitely be more important to me. I've read little about the denon 1911 but not so much on the onkyo 608. Can you please give me your advice If I had to choose between these two and maybe pros and cons for both?!?. As for my HT system I'm getting pretty close to pulling the trigger on the hybrid sd but If/when I do buy it I think I'll stick with the 4C for awhile and see how it does. If I feel that I need something a little more powerfull I'll def consider stepping up to the 5C…Thanks.October 8, 2010 at 3:44 pm #2813
They are fairly comparable units, you'll get 10 more watts/channel from the Onkyo but that won't make a real world difference.
You will get a USB input with the Denon that you won't get from the Onkyo.
The Denon uses an Anchor Bay video processing chip set, which is generally more highly regarded than the Faroudja Cinema DCDi chip that the 608 uses.
However the 608 can be purchased for $399 from Amazon right now which is about $200 cheaper than the 1911 is most places although I am seeing it for less on Ebay.
Finally most people find the menus and manual for Onkyo a little more user friendly than Denon.
Ultimately I think either unit will be a good choice, but those are the main differences.November 10, 2010 at 2:16 pm #2657
Thanks for the Info…I've decided on going with the Denon 791. I'm also set on buying the Intimus 4t hybrid sd and I wanted to know If I would be receiving the newer version of the Bravus 2 with my order. I was also wondering if you could please recommend some stands that would work for the 4B satellites. ThanksNovember 11, 2010 at 4:43 pm #2814

Yes, the only Bravus I product that we have left are 10Ds and 12Ds in cherry.
As for 4B stands, here are some that I recommend:November 15, 2010 at 1:30 pm #2658
