I'm thinking of buying a set of Verus Grand towers along with a Verus Grand Center.  They will be replacing my M&K THX Select 750 LCRs that are going downstairs instead.  I am getting an Outlaw LFM1 EX to go with the Verus or whatever else I decide to get (Boston acoustics or Paradigms).  The room I am putting the Verus into is medium sized at 15x16x8 and has a 100" projector and is used for 70% movies, 20% music, and 10% gaming.
    Two questions for you:
    1) how easy do the towers tip over?  I'd hate to have 60+ pounds crash down on my 3 year old girl. Would screwing them to the wood subfloor be an option?
    2) any idea on how well the speakers would mesh with my M&K K4 tripoles that I have in my existing system for the side and rear surrounds?
    Thanks for your help.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Because they are over 60 lbs the Verus Grand Towers are fairly stable.  I would not recommend screwing them into the floor as that would compromise their sound.  If you don't place them in a high traffic area and you keep the little one from intentionally knocking them over you should be fine.  They are definitely pretty tough to topple just from bumping into them.

The most important speakers to match are your fronts and center.  So mixing in your M&Ks as surrounds should work just fine.  Plus the M&Ks that I have heard did sound somewhat reminiscent of our speakers if I recall correctly.

I hope that helps but please let me know if you have any other questions, thanks!

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll put away the power screwdriver. Thanks again.
