I was a bit skeptical of purchasing these for my two 4B surrounds as I wanted to make sure I had sturdy stands because of my cats. For the price they are absolutely great. The 4B's sit in front (i.e. not centered atop) but the weight of the bottom plate is enough to counter the forward weight of the speakers. I really liked how they also came with little pads to place under the floor plate to protect the floor (they also came with carpet spikes if you need).
I've purchased speaker stands for more money (for a Sony HTiB surrounds which weighed lbs less then the 4B's) at best buy and the quality was simply not there. While the speaker still wobbles a bit and its not possible to fill the tube with sand, I'd absolutely recommend them. Take care when reading the directions in order to figure out how to thread the speaker cable properly, but once you get them set up they're sturdy.
