I'm sure you were looking for responses from people who don't work at Aperion, but this lonely thread left me unable to resist...
There are some pretty significant upgrades from the classic line to the new Bravus line. The footprint of the subs is much smaller, the Bravus 8 being almost exactly 1 square foot. Since it has 2 drivers sharing that cabinetry, it has the fullness and output of a much larger sub. We wanted the Bravus line to sound on par with it's larger counterparts, so the Bravus 8 = Intimus S-10, Bravus 10 = Intimus S-12, etc.
The Bravus subs are all in sealed cabinets, so the bass is very articulate. You get very nice, defined, musical bass even in the much larger subs. Our 12 inch holds it together rather amazingly, and the 8 inch is just awesome for music. You also get really cool features like parametric EQ, and the ability to keep your butt firmly planted in your favorite chair while adjusting the volumes via your Bravus remote/Universal remote.
All in all, there are tons of features that make the new Bravus line very worth the price difference. Look into other subs that have similar features and you will see a price tag nearly double of what we charge. Hopefully you're able to give them a go.
