Good AVR suggestion for 5 series Bookshelf 5.1 setup w/ hdmi upconversion

    Good AVR suggestion for 5 series Bookshelf 5.1 setup w/ hdmi upconversion

    Hello and welcome to the forum!

    It depends on how much space you are looking to fill.  If you have a small to medium size room something like the 607 from Onkyo or the 1910 from Denon should suffice.

    If your room is larger, toward the 20'X20' end of things, then you might want to step up to the Onkyo 807 or Denon 2310.

    I have an Onkyo 876 that has been a great AVR for me.  I opted for that over the 806 at the time because of the video upconversion chip.  The chip is different, and garnered much better reviews, with no issues to speak of.  Visually, I love what it does.
