Good movie to check out your surround sound

I watched on a movie channel the other night a movie called Journey to the Center of the Earth. The movie was kinda corny but the sound effects was AWESOME. My boys 8 and 10 liked the movie and actually I watched it again just to listen to the surround. I am anxious for Gi Joe to come out, I wonder what the surround sound will sound like?

Me too, hope at least the sound on Joe is great; everyone I know who's seen it says the movie was just so-so. When's it coming out?

The new Journey to the Center of the Earth is just so-so. The original with  http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Journey_to_the_Center_of_the_Earth/60020330?trkid=222336&strkid=960969031_1_0&strackid=26b9448956a713f2_1_srl  James Mason is much better, but it's just mono. The original relies on some outdated premise of something called a script and experienced actors.

Netflix will never run out of movies

Cool, can't wait! Just watched a minute of Transformers 2 yesterday as well, looks like decent entertainment. Will try to watch the whole thing today, but so far sound and picture seem really, really good.

Yeah, strange--seems really good movies that also have good PQ/SQ are becoming rarer these days, I'm not expecting much from GI Joe. And I don't I've ever considered any Brendan Fraser movie as having any great acting or scripts. Although I do enjoy Mummy every now and then.

I saw Transformers 2 this weekend and agree the sound was excellent- lots of surround effects and deep bass.  The picture was nice too.  Unfortunately, the plot and acting was not so good IMO.

Saw Danny Boyle's Sunshine this weekend on Blu-Ray.  Movie was ok, but the amount of low level bass was awesome.  Not to mention that it had great visuals.
