Yes that Denon 3808 is very nice receiver.  If you are going to that price class I would also throw in the Pioneer Elite SC-07.  It has a class D amplifier

which has gotten rave reviews.  I agree the Onkyo 876 is also a great reciever.  I have ordered the Pioneer SC-07 and should get it some time next week.

I will post a review here of what my impressions are.  If you have a chance were you live (something I did not ) go and listen to the different recievers.
