    Re: Added an XPA-3

    Hi PJ,

Thanks for the info. I have def. tech BP2X as rears and my room is 19' X 19'  My avr is a denon 2308ci.

Do you have the switch in the back of your XPA-3 turned to balanced or un balanced?

How much of a diff can you tell from adding the amp? Just cleaner power and more of a better top end?

    Thanks Grego

You'll be fine with an XPA-3 over the XPA-5.  Save the cash.

Mine are set to "unbalanced" (running RCA interconnects), as the amp is about a foot from the pre-outs.

The speakers sound fantastic, and your 6T's will definitely benefit from the extra power vs your Denon.

Emotiva has a similar return policy to Aperion.  All the advice from myself or others will not do your own ears any good.  You'll have to just listen to your speakers, in your room, yourself, to really know.  I'd say get it and if you don't feel the purchase is warranted, it should be easy to send it back.

    Have fun!

When were they on sale for $399? Most used models are going for $500+. There are some proud owners out there

    Re: Added an XPA-3

Just pulled the trigger on a XPA-2 to go along with the XPA-3... Yee Haw. Will use the XPA-2 for my 6T fronts and move 2 of the outputs from my XPA-3 to my surrounds.

Done for now on amps, until i get the XPA-1 itch. But think these amps will be just fine for me.
