there's too much talk about metallica to me megadeth was always the real deal, new album  kicks ass .

if anyone wants to discuss all things metal (albums, bands) i'm the guy 90% of the music i listen to is metal and i'm eager to get to listen all my albums with my new aperion system

Hmm, I wasn't even aware that a new Megadeth album had come out.  I admit I kind of lost interest in Megadeth after Cryptic Writings- they started sounding too sterile and very few songs on that album did anything for me (so, that was the last album of theirs that I bought).  But thanks for the heads up on Endgame.  I think I'll give it a whirl.

I am a big death metal fan myself. Honestly to me most all of the bands listed imo are soft (Not hard enough for me). I often wonder how well the aperions can handle this style of music but it seems I will not be let down. I am anxious to place my order in approximately 1.5 weeks.  Since I want to be able to play unnecessarily loud sometimes I figured I would get the 6B since I wont really have room for the 6T. My subwoofer should be here in around a week (EPIK) so it won't be long until I can shake the walls in my house with Metal :)

Since all of you listed some bands you like I will post a few incase you are curious. Carnifex, Jobforacowboy, Emmure, Behemoth, White Chapel, and Through the Eyes of the Dead just to name a few.

My softer side I like would be Opeth, Epica, Kamelot, Iron Maiden, and Eluveitie.

metal sounds good but it could be better, they really shine playing just about any other genre. i was thinking of getting the emotive xpa-3 amplifier to give them that extra punch they need and maybe another sub.

I just got the 6t xd grand about a week ago maybe i just need to fully break them in perhaps the metal sound will improve then. On the other hand if i ask my neighbors they probably hate me now , i've been blasting some krisiun, overkill, death,   ... ohh yeah and how to forget the blue rays have bought nightwish "end of an era" , alice cooper and deep purple's live at montreux and they do sound great which makes me crave for some more blue rays

Hi. I am thinking of getting the 4T-CB Hybrid System. Although I anticipate mostly movies with it (like 80%) that could change the amount of music i listen to through the system if it translates my heavy music tastes well.

I love, Tool, Godsmack and of course Metallica. I have been around a long time though and listen to plenty of Sabbath, Priest,  etc.

Bands I seen more than once

    • Page & Plant
    • Metallica
    • Tool
    • Jerry Cantrell
    • Maiden
    • Scorpions
Current music that is in Heavy rotation for me includes Heaven and Hell, Perfect Circle, Army of Anyone, Orange Goblin and whatever Pandora picks out for me  :-)  I have also been revisiting Machine Head lately,

At the Gates ROCKS on my Aperions.  Slaughter of the Soul is one the all-time great albums from start to finish.

I agree 100% slaughter of the soul is a timeless classic, is right up there followed by dark tranquillity (the minds eye) and in flames (the jester race).

there're tons of melodeath bands but those are the albums that i find myself listening to all the time. some honorable mention are amon amarth (they have yet to release a bad album), gardenian, scar symmetry

Fear Factory help fry my old Pioneer speakers in about 1995! I loved Demanufature

Incredible band at the time, along with sepultura - Roots CD really trashed my old speakers.

I think Burn my Eyes by Machine Head contributed to the problem too

I like Mastodon musically, but i hate to say it - the singing is hard to take for long periods of time.
Same for chimaira, lamb of god, and Gorija (and many others) for that matter.

I also like all of Type Os old stuff, but i could not get into  Dead Again for some reason.
