what systems and setups do the guys at Aperion have at home?

Seeing that you all are the most experienced with Aperion speakers, it would be great to see what speakers you have selected to fill out your systems.

RE: what systems and setups do the guys at Aperion have at home?

    Hi Sean,

I periodically trade in/out different pieces of my sytem. Sometimes for personal review purposes, other times for experimentation. I can't begin to itterate how valuable it was to be able to play around with the 632 placement.

    That said, I currently have:

Two 632s as mains (which I run withOUT a sub if listening to SACD)     a 12" sub,    522d-VAC (not the 533. I have to limit my testing pieces to those that are available. The 533 won't stay on the shelf so I'll have to wait until one lands in B-stock. Even then, there's no guarantee that it will stick around long) and two 522d-ss dipole/bipole surrounds.  I drive them with an Onkyo SR-702.

So... if I had unlimited resources, a large truck and a slightly deeper room??

    (2) 633-T, 533-VAC, (2) 632-LR, (1) 532-LR and (2) 12 subs

Outlaw 1070 receiver or NAD T-773 - I'll let ya'll know what happends here after Christmas.  Ahem... HINT HINT

RE: what systems and setups do the guys at Aperion have at home?

I have the older version of the power towers, the 522D-PT, a very old S12 sub (still SHAKES the place nicely), 522D-LR for surrounds, and a 522D-C for center. I'd like to get the 532-C or, if I can find the space, the 533-VAC for a center. At some point I plan on turning a portion of my basement into a media/theater room. At that point I'll get 633towers, two 12" subs, di/bi for surrounds, 532-LR's for back surrounds, 533-VAC for center.

RE: what systems and setups do the guys at Aperion have at home?

In my family room I have gloss black 522D-PT's, 522D-VAC, 522D-LR surrounds and an S-12 Subwoofer. I am using a Denon 3300 to drive them. I have a Toshiba 36" TV and Toshiba DVD player. I will be upgrading to an SACD/DVD Audio player in the near future and I am considering our new 632-IW in-walls to replace my 522 surrounds.

In my bedroom I have cherry 522D's for left center and right along with an 8" sub. I am planning to use the new in ceiling speakers as surrounds.

My last system will reside in the bonus room for use with the video game system. I have a collection of speakers to use but I need to purchase some electronics to go with them.

The 632-IW & 632-IC are in production and shipping from the factory on 12/14. We should be shipping them about 30 days after that.

Both feature a 6.5" dual voice coil woofer and 1" silk dome aimable tweeter. Both the woofer and tweeter have +/- 3 dB equalization to compensate for placement. They are $149 Each or $298/pair. The speakers are voiced to the rest of the Intimus line so you can mix and match them with any of the other speakers.

We listened to a lot of in-walls when designing this speaker and I can honestly say these sound way better than comparible in-walls that cost 3x more.

The products will be on the site for pre-order on 12/15.

A very busy man who is spending every free moment working on finishing my home theater so that i can set up my system and hear it the way it was meant to be heard. Not just thrown together in the corner of the dining room.

I have hung my surrounds and will be hooking up the entire system tonight!!!!!!!!  All of the speakers are out of the box and look amazing.  I only hope they sound as good.  Cannot wait for work to be done so i can go finnish the set up.  I will let you know how it went.

It is set up and working great.  I have not done my final tuning as the room still needs some work done to it that will effect the acoustics (doors and curtain)  but so far so good.  I had my Denon 3806 do a quick EQ setting using its Audissey(?) system.  I am very pleased so far.
