Wall mounting over single gang electical boxes

I just moved into a new home and the family room is pre-wired for surround sound.  Problem is the installer ran the wire to single gange elecrtical boxes now covered with blank wall plates.  I'd like to use the Omnimount 20.0 wall mount and connect it to a wall plate that covers the electrical box for a cleaner installation.  Is there a wall plate like this for the Omnimount?

    Gary,

Did you ever receive an answer to this question? I am experiencing the same issue.

    Thanks,

    Frank

I'm having the same problem. On top of that, it seems that the Ominmounts are too large to fit into the wall plate screw holes. Any help would be gladly accepted.

    Hi Bobby,

I see that this an old thread and I see that there were no answers.

In installations that I have seen, the Speaker Wall Plates are only meant to provide an easy way to connect the Speaker wires once you find a suitable rigid mounting surface such as a stud in the wall to mount the speakers to.
