    Wall mounting the 634-VAC

I know Aperion does not yet have a wall mount for the 634-VAC, but has anyone come up with a way to stud mount it?  How did you do it?  Can you send pics or a materials list?  Thanks for your help.

    Dave,

I saw someone on another forum use a TV stand (the kind that has the articulating arm from the wall) to hold up their center channel.  That might be something to think about.

Since the 634VAC is such a heavy unit, a tv stand may be the safe way to go, and still look good. Most applications will require the speaker to be out a little from the wall. The weight will put a lot of stress on the mounting system.

Dave, whatever you come up with, make sure it can support the weight... maybe with a kid hanging on it..

I used a Peerless PM600 Multi-Mount Shelf - the arms are set about 20" apart and it works perfectly for getting the 634-VAC on the wall.  It is designed to mount to two adjacent studs (therefore mine is not 'true centered' over my 56in Samsung DLP but is close enough for the apartment - I'll center it first then place the TV under it in the house 7 months down the road 8-) You can get Black or white. I would recommend using rubber bumpers while this makes the shelf more visible it still looks OK.

This space saving wall mount is ideal for stacking A/V equipment such as DVD players, receivers, CD players and VCRs. This convenient unit is adjustable in width and depth and can support up to 49 lbs. It holds multiple electronic components in a compact format and even comes with a safety belt. We recommend you measure your electronic equipment to make sure it does not exceed the maximum width and depth ranges of this unit.

    Features:

    • Adjustable width up to a maximum of 20"
    • Adjustable depth from 13.5" to 19.5"
    • Includes safety belt
    • Comes with fasteners for wood stud walls
