Is this why I am basically ignored when I post?  My B.S. is only in Physics and not in home consumer electronics..  Am I allowed to play here too?

You should have gone to Best Buy University for a degree in HCE.

Its no fun if we can't make stuff up and then act like we really know what we are talking about.

    Hey Rock,

All of us here have a degree in BS, but don’t limit ourselves to Physics.

We can encompass any field known to mankind, critters, crawlers, creepers and crappers and the list goes on.

    Expand your horizons.

I think Circuit City has an excellent transition program for those want to become part of the real world.

When we need to back up our BS we say that we only studied physics. J

    Hang in there Rock.

I do read all of your posts so please keep posting. Most everyone here has something useful to contribute. Just bring in to the topic a new perspective and I am sure that you can. You can probably add a lot to what some of us have overlooked. It would be great to read other perspectives other than SPL and power.

    Don’t feel ignored.

I would like to welcome you to this forum.

    Sincerely,

    Jackson

    Thank you Jack..

My degree really is in Physics by the way though...  But I am working on my horizons..

Hard to contribute when you guys cover all the bases anyway.  I was just messing around...Wink

I would be labeled the forum clown I suppose... But anyway.. I am not sure how the 632's compare to the 5b's since I only had the 532's... But I would imagine the only difference would be the improved tweeter..  The bass would obviously be better with the 632's..  I had the cherry versions of the 5B's and the cherry looks very nice.

Physics degree - that tells us where you will line up in the Fact vs. Conjecture debates.  Liberal Arts guy here so I think facts just get in the way of my reality.

So what do you do with that Physics degree anyway.  Just curious. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and don't use it at all!

    Re: 5B review.

I became a teacher to use my degree... But I worked as an IT guy for many years...

I am still teaching now, but I looking to get back to IT..

To an above poster.. I don't get involved in those debates at all... no point to it..

    Re: 5B review.

From the CNET review of the 5B:

"...when you consider its (Intimus 5B Harmony SD) extraordinary build and sound quality, it's well worth it for audiophiles and home theater fans. We highly recommend it."

Is it just me, or does this review approach bubbliness?  Wink

    Yes...Very bubbly...

I wanted more technical details..Such whether or not they thought the new sensitivty ratings affected performance or what electronics customers are going to need.  But then again, this is CNET...so they usually keep it simple and bubbly..
