I bought a Pioneer Elite 94thx last week, I did all the research but did not check this feature. Discovered it by accident yesterday, can I still hook up my soon to be Aperion subwoofer? Will I get the same performance? Dp I need any speacial cabling? Thanks!!! 

Sorry yes that is what I meant, no subwoofer output. It actually does have a sub input for the pre amp. Very strange.

I auditioned this receiver and loved the sound, but asking if it had a sub output seemed within the lines of asking if a BMW had brakes. At least to a complete newb like me.

I read something in the Aperion manual about connecting the Sub through the mains, what are the mains? and will this give me the same performance?

Or should I forget the Elite and just get the Sony  DA5300ES

Sorry guys, false alarm. Just read the manual (finally found it) and it seems the forum post I read over at AVforum was wrong, the subwoofer output is called pre out, while my old JVC had a sub out input. WHEW!

I guess I just panicked, sorry new to this :) 

On the non-retarded front, I am going to call today and order my speakers. Can hardley wait till they get here!!!!
