It's my first time setting up anything that resembes a home theatre so I need some basic help.
I'm thinking of mounting the center speaker directly above the TV and front side speakers about 2 feet higher on the ceiling. The problem is with the rear speakers. Unfortunately I don't have much room on the left and right of the couch or behind it for me to setup speakers, so they either have to be really close, or on the ceiling. Which way is better:
1. Mounting them on the ceiling directly to the left and right of the couch and point them down at the top of our heads.
2. Set them on speaker stands on the left and right and point them into our ears (Would be only 1 foot away from a person's ear...)
I heard from guides (cnet) that rear speakers should be pointing at our ears from the sides. I even saw some pictures of people's setup having speakers right next to the armrest of couches.
This might be a minor detail but I want my first home theatre to be breathtaking, that's why I got Aperions :)
