    Is Y adapter necessary

I have the new bravus 10 and noticed on the back it has a left and right input, and also a LFE. I bought the aperion subwoofer cable but did not buy the hp y adapter. I know that if I were to buy the y adapter it would help boost up to 3 db, but don't think that will be necessary. Haven't had a chance to hear my setup yet. Still waiting for my receiver to ship. Anyway my question is where to plug the mono subwoofer cable I have in. In the LFE, the right, or the left. I am a newbie, so I apologize if this is a dumb question. You guys on the forum are great.

nevermind. Answered my own question in the directions after reading the second time. Been reading a lot so it must have skipped my brain. Anyhow, was wondering if anyone has noticed a significant difference in the y adapter compared to just the mono into the LFE. If so I might just pick one up. Don't want to sacrifice anywhere, ya know. Thanks again for the forum. It's a great source for us new to the high end game.

    Re: Is Y adapter necessary

I've always been a fan of the Y adapter.  Whether or not it makes a noticeable difference or not, I'm not sure but for only $15 or so, it's worth it to have.  I'm still in the tweaking stage and getting used to what the Bravius 10 can or can't do.  So far I'm very pleased with my 5T Hybrid HD but the sub has me scratching my head still as I'm not sure if I've configured it to the optimum settings since it seems it isn't being very audible on the really low frequencies
Do or do not, there is no try.
