    Do I need an amp?

I have the 6t's and 5c powered by an Onkyo 705. While they do sound good, would adding an amp yield better results? If so whats a good 3 channel amp?  I do like to turn it up loud every now and again and have never heard any strain. Just thinking im missing something.

Hmmm, well I see you are in Beaverton if you haven't already (or even if have) you can stop by our showroom and hear the 6Ts and 5C hooked up to our 200 watt Outlaw 7700/990 amp/preamp combo and see if it sounds significantly different than your set up.  Of course your room is probably quite different but it should still give you an idea.  Feel free to bring your own discs in too, we're here 8am-5pm Mon.-Fri. and we'd be happy to let you rock our system!  Big Smile

Thanks for the reply, I picked them up at your store a few months ago, and they sounded awesome in the showroom. Do you know of a good 3 channel amp at a decent price?

Even though this is a five channel here's a nice Adcom on Audiogon:

You just missed this B&K, but maybe you can find another one, I think this would be perfect:
