    Dynamic changes...

Yes you heard right. Changes of dynamic proportions. Indifferent

I have never EQ'd the 876. Doing the Auddessy setup only made things worse I thought. The speakers have always sounded great right out of the box without any EQ's on. Last night however I noticed a few preset EQ's and figured I'd try em all, not many...like 4 I think.

After choosing one called "Dynamic EQ" I was blown anyway. What exactly is going here?Huh? Added gain? The speakers (didn't think this was possible) sound WAY bigger. I have a feeling its something simple and my ears are tricked, but I kinda like it.Embarrassed

One thing though it effects the volume allot, had to turn it down a few for normal TV watching.

Dynamic EQ is an Audyssey feature that allows your speakers to sound (for lack of a better word Smile) more dynamic at lower volume levels.  I just bought a Denon 1909 in part because of this feature and the dynamic volume feature, which is an Audyssey feature that keeps dips and peaks in volume levels contained.  This feature is really helpful when watching at night and keeps the always annoying volume jump of commercials in check.
