Hey everyone,

We need your help!  We are currently in the process of setting up a second, smaller listening room at our Aperion headquarters here in Portland and wanted to get a new 1080p display.   The new room is going to be quite small (cozy) more like a standard living room.   We also intend to use a receiver to power the set up...maybe a new Denon or Pioneer Elite?  Thoughts?

Sharp LC-46D62U and the Samsung LN-T4665.

What do you think? Which one would you buy?....or should we go for a plasma instead?

I voted for Plasma, but if you decide to go for LCD, I have looked at the Sharp model. The difference between D62U and D92U series is amazing. My friend purchased the D92U series after looking at these models side by side. The one he purchased was 50". Not sure if you will notice same kind of quality differences at smaller sizes.

I just bought the Samsung LN52A850 LCD and have no complaints. The picture quality is amazing, especially when watching a Blu-Ray.

I have it paired up with the yamaha RXV-1900 AV receiver and Aperion Intimus 5T-DB Hybrid HD system in a small living room and they work well together!

You knew the original post was over a year old when you posted but you did increase your post total by one and I just did also. Shame on me, I just did the same thing.

Cybergeek did not realize he was replying to a one-year plus old thread but you acknowledged that you knew and he did not trick you.

Nope, didn't even bother to look at the date of the orignal post when I did my TV write up.  Is was after I posted that i realized and promply deleted my TV FAQ...
