    "waiting is the hardest part"

Just wanted to say hey to all the Aperion owners and gurus.  Just ordered the Intimus 4T Hybrid SD a couple days ago and can't wait to get it home and set up.  Going to hook it up to the Onkyo TX-SR806.

It is well worth the wait....which is not too long. The "gurus" @  Aperion take care of you and they ship really quick.
    24 hours in a day ... 24 beers in a case ... coincidence?

Re: "waiting is the hardest part"

Next time do FedEx "first" shipping. The cost on that for half a dozen heavy boxes can't be much more than... $1,000... :)

At least I get to take full advantage of their example "To NYC" free shipping rates!

It is definitely worth the wait. It makes for a seductive undressing of the speakers in their velvet bags. It's an experience unlike any other. Then to hear them...

Oh, you shouldn't have mentioned the velvet! That was such a shock and a pleasure when I first opened the 6T box (which was not trivial to do, solo).

    :)

Waiting IS the hardest part.  I ordered the same speaker system in cherry a few weeks ago, and although the 4B's, 8D & 4C showed up within 48 hours of ordering, the 4T's aren't coming til late May =-( .  Its not to bad, though, because I'm still waiting on the Onkyo TX-SR607 that ships sometime this month.  I'm trying to use all this spare time to get the speaker wires cut, banana plugs put on, rear speaker stands put together and placed and so on, so when everything is finally here, I'm ready to rock!!

Re: "waiting is the hardest part"

First thanks for the welcome everyone.

You know I am in the same boat where the 4T's are coming in late May, but can get the rest now, and your idea of getting the whole thing setup, wiring ready and what not has got me thinking.  I am sure they would change the shipping on mine to ship as items arrive in stock, instead of waiting for the complete system.

Think I am going to look into it, thanks for the idea!

Re: "waiting is the hardest part"

you know, oddly enough, I had picked the option to have everything ship at the same time when everything was in stock, and 2 days later, everything came but those 4T's!  So I guess Aperion decided for me

Re: "waiting is the hardest part"

I'd order some 5b's for now and send em back in 30 days.  This will at least give you a complete front soundstage to enjoy until your 4T's arrive.  Think of it as a pair of loaner speakers until they get your's in stock.  That's a long time for any man to have to wait for a set of front speakers.Cool

You will also get a chance to compare the difference between the 5B's and 5C's.  That's why they have the 30 day trial so you can bring the store to your home and pick out what you want Geeked  Don't feel akward about it. It's just like going to the store and asking the sales associate to let you demo all the speakers for you so you can see which ones like the most.
