What blu ray to watch with boys 8 and 10 yr old?

I am in the process of building a house and while my wife has building her dream kitchen I have been busy building my dream home theater (I had a budget of $5,000 went a little over). I have so far a 10d, 5C, 5t's, 4B's, Onkyo 607 and just ordered a PS3 today. I am planning on ordering a Panasonic 58" plasma sometime this week cause our house is almost done. I have accoustical ceiling tiles and can lights that are on dimmers. I have been telling my boys about how awesome our home theater will sound and I want to get an awesome blu ray that will blow us away. Give me some ideas, I do allow them to watch PG13 movies so that should open it up a little more.

    Aperion 5T's, 5C, 10D, 4B satellite's
    Onkyo TX-SR607
    Panasonic Plasma 58"
    Playstation 3 Blu-Ray
    Direct TV HD DVR

Anything in the Teir 0 Audio Thread on AVSForums would likely work great.  I'd check that out.

First ones that come to mind (dunno what they're rated) are Kung Fu Panda, I Robot, The Bourne Trilogy, The Dark Knight, Any of the three Pirates movies, and Transformers.  There are gonna be loads more, though.

That's gonna be a fun experience!

For an 8 and 10-year-old, I'd give Bolt, Wall-E, Cars, Incredibles, and Finding Nemo Blu-rays serious consideration.  All have great pictures, loads of bass, and nice sound effects.  Just as important, and all should appeal to your kids as well as you.  Just my 2 cents.

I'd add Ratatouille to those already mentioned. It is simply stunning in Blu and the sound is just as amazing as the picture.

+1 for Bolt and Wall E, got to watch a bit of those here and both have awesome picture and sound and are very entertaining--even for adults!

Finding Nemo - Darla is just precious knocking on the glass!

The Lion King (not in Blu Ray yet), but I imagine the stampede would be awesome anyway!

...and just for grins Young Frankenstein is always a hit!  i am sure the big knockers 'sound' great!

+1 on pretty much any of the Pixar movies released on Blu-ray.  They looked great to begin with on DVD and they all look and sound fantastic on Blu-ray.

I just wish I had the money to upgrade all my DVDs to Blu-rays now, but it is going to be a drawn out process.

Heck, I'm still waiting to upgrade to Blu ray at home [:'(] Soon though, soon! I'll just keep enjoying them here in the meantime.

Don't worry Mark.  Just when you finish upgrading your DVDs to Blu-ray, there will be a new technology rendering your Blus obsolete.  Stick out tongue

    Edit: SORRY, NOT ON BLU-RAY

Over The Hedge (you'll like it too)

I never stopped laughing at Steve Carell's Sammy the squirrel.

    Great cast: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327084/

Not the best animated film I've seen, but maybe the funniest.
