    Help with upgrading speakers

Hey guys,  I bought aperion speakers about 3 years ago. They are the bookshelf speakers thats all I know because I don't think they had all these models they do now.  I also have the VAC center, and a 10" woofer I think

I want to get some towers.. will any of them match okay in terms of frequency, timber and all that crap?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum, mohanman.

The new towers won't be a perfect match to your 3-year-old speakers since the new towers use different woofers and tweeters (different materials used in both) and different crossovers and thus aren't timbre matched.  However, I don't think the difference will be to the point that it is distracting.

I would suggest trying them out.  At most, you might find yourself wanting to swap out the center as well for a new center.  But the bookshelves (assuming you'll be using them as surrounds) and the sub should be fine.
