I just purchased the 5T Hybrid HD 5.1 setup and it hasn't been delivered yet but I'm starting to have second thoughts about my receiver. Is the Sony STRDG1200, a $900 receiver that I got for $580, good enough for this setup or will I get noticeably better quality for a few hundred more? I will be using this system for Blu Rays and music, all the audio will be coming through the HDMI on my 60GB PS3. I can't wait to get the speakers! I've never heard Aperions before but my dad has a Meridian 7.1 system so I know what the big $$ can sound like :)

Hi darkphyber, my apologies--not sure how we missed your post but the receiver you have should work great with our speakers. They will however respond very favorably to better quality amplification, so if you wanted to upgrade your receiver it will indeed pay dividends. I wouldn't say it's necessary, but something like a higher up ES model from Sony, or a similar level Onkyo, Pioneer Elite, or Marantz, etc. would be a worthy upgrade. Otherwise, the Sony--especially with the savings--is a very good deal and should work just fine.
