    Base spikes and response?

I have all my gear hooked up and it sounds great. As I was putting all the boxes away for storage I noticed I didnt put the feet on my base! Do the spikes improve base response on carpeted floor or just hold it in place during those explosion scenes??

With my experience with the spikes, they seem to make the bass tighter and overall, an improvement. The only thing is that I have hardwood floors instead of carpet... So my guess is to just try them out. It doesnt hurt since you have carpeting. (except for me where one slip and theres a hole in the floor)

Since the spikes on the Aperion stuff are kinda stubby, I would say they are more of a 'carpet grabber' rather than an acoustical tool.

If you have hardwood like DT, the would probably make a difference.
