Once Upon a Time In Mexico, is it just me...

...or does anyone else LOVE this film?  I watched it in the theater and enjoyed it, so I netflixed it to see if it was an 'owner'.  Well, I finally bought it last week and watched it last week and again tonight, and every time I watch it, I like it even more.  So much so, that I feel like I could watch it again tommorow!

I liked Desperado, and El Mariachi even more, but this one, I love!  I don't know if it's Depp's ultra-cool role (or that I am a fan of his acting), but this one jumps above the others for me.  The way it was shot, the storytelling, the breif but beautiful eye-candy of Selma Hayek , the music, the acting, the script, everything I just seem to enjoy about this movie.  The DVD transfer is also visually beautiful and the sound is incredible as well!  'The Chase and The Bus' sequence could become a new 'demo' chapter for the system.

Any other fans of this film out there???

    I really like El Mariachi.

I never saw Desperado which might be why OUTIM was so confusing.

Nick, if you liked El Mariachi, you should check out Desperado.  I liked El more, but Desperado is still a good movie.  I think OUTIM stands on it's own though?  There are some tie-ins to the other movies, and of course the characters are the same, but each movie takes some liberties on not being totally continuous from one to another, so I'm not sure watching it will clarify anything for OUTIM?
