    Concert DVD favorites

I just wanted to see what favorites there are for concerts on DVD as far as surround sound quality. So far my favorite without question has been the Eagles....When Hell Freezes over. Also, The BeeGees One Night Only is a great concert, although not as good surround effects.

The one I watch most often is Nine Inch Nails: And All That Could Have Been

The picture and sound are excellent.

I saw the other that a DVD of David Bowie's most recent tour is supposed to be released soon. That's one I'll have to pick up.

No Quarter - Jimmy Page & Robert Plant Unledded

Just found this Gem at CC for about $15. I had taped this off of MTV years ago. I didn't even know it was released. It's 2 ch stereo and DD 5.1 also DTS 5.1.  Amazing show.  If you like Led Zepplin? Get it. If you like Music? Get it.    Run, Don't walk to your nearest Store/Boutique/Amazon.  Hopefully you'll have the chance to see this show. Thank you Aperion. This is the first time I really cranked up my new speakers and to admit the truth, It brought tears to my eyes.  Gallows Poll in 5.1 surround. Amazing. Kashmir.OMFG   I wasn't even that big of a Led Zep fan.   Have fun people.

Queen's  "We Will Rock You"...it is THX Digitally Mastered. Of all my concert DVD's this is by far the best sounding. It is DD 5.1

Dave Matthews Band: Live at The Gorge  has long been my reference dvd for showing off my home theater.  The video quality is amazing and the sound is extremely clean.  Their drummer really gives your sub a workout.  I highly recommend this dvd for even a casual fan of Dave (their jams are great).

Alision Kraus & Union Station - Live. Set to the DTS track, the dolby does not sound very well on this disk.

Based on a couple of folks mentioning it on here, I picked up the Eagles, Hell Freezes Over, the other day. That disk rocks! Great sound quality, although the video qual is not very good... but I quickly forgot about that when I'm deciding just how loud to turn it up. Cool

Yes 90210 is pretty great sounding for a concert DVD. The video is ancient though, so don't expect great picture from your HD set.

Also, we just got in a Heart HD-DVD concert video. So far it rocks. Great picture and sound.

If you guys have never heard of Porcupine Tree, I suggest picking up their new concert DVD for an intro to the band.  It's a great production with GREAT audio.

Here's a link to the DVD.
