Has anyone ever used a video set-up DVD? ("Video Essentials" seems to be a common title.)  If so, which one?  Did it really improve the quality of your viewing by optimizing your tv settings?  (For reference, I recently purchased a Panasonic 42" plasma.)  Thanks very much,

Beau....I've used both Digital Video Essentials and Avia.....I've used them to calibrate a Sony HD crt and my current 42" Philips plasma....the results from the set up DVD's was very similar to what I had done "by eye".....John

Did you use the Digital Video Essentials and Avia to also setup the Audio?

If you did, was there an improvement in the sound over using an SPL meter with the Receiver Tone Test?
