    HT pics/ sub question

this is my current setup.  I know my sub is in the worst possible location.

My problem is it would be totally impractical to move my sub to the front of the room.

Anyone have any experience/advice for the sub being placed next to the seating.  I was thinking of trying it along the wall next to the seats facing the front of the room.  thanks for any advice.

    Re: HT pics/ sub question

A friend of mine has a setup where his sub is on the right side of the room (center).  It works fine but you can tell the bass is coming from the right.  You might get used to it but I thought it was kind of weird.  I'm not sure why you don't think you can have your sub in the front of your room.  Unless it's higher than the bottom of your screen, I can't tell from the pictures.

    Joseph,

I cannot tell from the pictures either. It is hard to define your front mains and don’t even see the Sub. What would be wrong with the front right corner for the Sub?

    Wait!

After enhancing DPP-0001 it appears that you could place the sub on center below the screen or in the right corner slightly ahead of the right tower at a 45-degree angle to the corner. I also found your center above the screen.

I think you need a wall for the Sub to reflect from and in the front of the room near your screen.

    Re: HT pics/ sub question

    Ok, to give more details.

I do not think there is enough room between the wall and the screen for my two front mains and a sub.  Also, I am buying a 634 which will probably have to go on a stand in the center.  My screen is 20" off the floor which might be tall enough for the sub to fit under, but I have no power up front.  I would have to run new wiring for the coaxial and the power outlet or use an extension cord which would not be asthetically pleasing.

    Hence my dilemma.

After those replys though, I am going to give it more thought on making it work to put the sub up front.  I might even shrink my screen to accommodate.

    thanks for the help.

    Idea I have a solution.

It actually involves an idea I have wanted to implement for a long time, but never got around to.

I will post some pics when I get it done.

An artistic touch and a way to run new wires combined in one simple step.Wink
