You should specify what you want for power to insure you have the headroom for instantaneous bursts of SPL in movies or music.
What do you require in video up-conversion?
Also consider other features you may want now or may need in the near future.
I have the Onkyo 805 that really works well with my 10 Aperions and it is a significant improvement over my Sony STR-DE997. THX Ultra2 rated, the 805 drives the Aperions with clean power at max volume where the Sony started to clip or distort at ¾ of its power rating.
This was not evident until I got the Aperions since I had Bose before that I really did not like due to severe lack of bass and poor midrange and I was using two Bose Acoustimass-7’s.
