    Re: 5B review.

    Jack,

Not one time have you said you have done wrong, so I will continue.

Why don’t you conduct a poll regarding how many want me to stay and how many want me to leave? Also include yourself in the equation

Why don't you take a poll regarding how many think you are rude, at times, on this form?  I thought I already told you I don't want you to leave.

Please direct your next attack on me via PM. The rest of the forum does not need to see or read your vengeance unless you are trying to become a lacking hero of ill fame.

You want ME to do this?  How about you try it first.  Take your own advice next time you blast someones review, or get REAL smart in a post.

Do you think this is the place for you to vent your frustrations with three consecutive posts blasting me with your frail comments of anguish trying to humiliate me? It will not work.

You are correct, this is not the form, so once again  TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE

You Sir have certainly shown a lot of humble and respect in your last 3 posts.

My father also taught me right from wrong, and how to handle myself.  You, Jack have been wrong.

Once again YOU contribute a ton of solid tecnical information to this form, JUST BE NICE.  Is that too much to ask?

Hey guys, give it a rest already.

For those of you who like all things on two wheels, picked up a new Yamaha R6 this weekend.   Sweet!

    Hey Guys.

I promise I will never write another speaker review again here. I had no idea it would have started such a mess. That wasn't my intention.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

PS.  Still waiting for my free hat :)

    Hey Dan,

Sorry about my contribution to the mess here.

Feel free to post anything you want here, I should not have got involved.

If you don’t get a free hat from Aperion soon I will send you one of mine, never been worn, they sit atop my Aperion speakers and TV or I have a T-shirt also never worn.

I am proud of even the old harsh line speakers by Aperion.

    Thank you Mike,

It took a bit of work and a few $$$ more but I am now happy with the results.

That XBR4 works well with My Oppo that you can barely see in the picture.

    Thanks again for your post.

    Jack,

Very nice set up.  I am envious, that TV is beautiful.  I do have a question for you because I have never seen it done before.  What do you gain by having a second set of speakers up front/mains?  Is it more separation, more volume at lower levels, increased L to R soundstage?  Also, does oppo have any plans, that you know of, on making a blu-ray player?

Rumor mill says they are working on one but since it is a rumor we will just have to wait and see.

    Jack,

Which Oppo did you get.  I have read nothing but good things about all 3.

    Cheers

    Dan,

Your review was fine.  You did not start anything so don't wory about it.

On a side note.  They may not be able to expand the control they use for the reviews.  As a developer I know it is very common to use 3rd party components and sometimes they do not offer the source code.  Not saying that is the case but is possible.

Hey, what part of Michigan are you in?  I grew up in Indiana, at one point i lived in Muncie.  Use to do business trips to Detroit too often.  One 4th of july weekend our car AC was out of commission and it was so hot in Muncie we decided to head up north, along the lake for some cooler temps.  We spent the weekend in Travers City.  Saw a great fireworks show out in the lake while sitting out on a peir.  Oh, it was hotter than hell up there!

    Cheers

Very nice setup Jack.  Great picture of the Cherry finish.  I really, really like the way it looks in your room.  Very rich looking.

Hope you don't mind but I pasted the img code here along with my setup so people can see a side by side comparison of a cherry finish system and a black piano finish system.  I'm hoping it will give people a better idea of how each finish can look in a real world setup.  Maybe it will help others make a more informed decision based on their desired tastes.

    Re: 5B review.

    Jack,

    Couple of questions.

Are you using 632's as your mains?

What center channel are you using?

What subwoofer do you have?  Noticed from another post you have an S-10.  How do you like your S-10?  Does it blend in well with your sattelites?

    What is your room size?

Are those in wall speakers or acoustic panels that you have on your main wall?

Do you think my stands are too high?  I made them 30" but I'm thinking they are a bit to high.  I was thinking of shaving off 2"-4", especially if I'm going to upgrade to the 6B's in the future.

    Thanks,

    Dan.

    Re: 5B review.

Yeah I see what you mean Dan...

The speaker stands don't "blend" well with your stand thingy in the middle.. Yeah I think shortening them will look better... Just do 1" at a time.. until you get that look you are looking for... I have the Aperion stands and they are pretty much the perfect height for my setup..  I have to take a new pic of my setup with the new 5B's and crap...Here is a pic I took with my phone... That is Rambo 2 in Standard Def. on the screen.

Yeah I know I need to move my center channel.. LOL.. Looking for the right shelf to fit the dimensions, color, and support the weight without me being scared to death of 22lbs smashing on top of my plasma tv..

    Dan,

Please don't say that...We loved your review. There is no earthly reason why you would have assumed that your review/request would have started a "mess" as it was a well thought out, well written review. We really appreciated that you took the extra time to write out how you really felt in detail. Our hopes is that everybody who joins the Aperion family feels like you do not only just about the speakers, but about the whole experience. If I showed your review to the CEO, it would make his day...

For the record, we are still working on getting your review online in it's entirety. It wasn't any sort exceptional request...We (and by "we" I mean Jason) were happy to look into your request. It's what we do...
