    Questions before buying

Hi I am considering purchasing the

    Intimus 6T-DB Hybrid XD sytem

and have some questions to ask before making the purchase.  I found this site after reading great things about the 633Ts, those are the speakers I really wanted to buy, because I would really like left and right towers. So here are my questions:

Are the 6Ts the next generation of the 633Ts?

I am getting a 5.1, do DB surround speakers fit well into 7.1 set-ups when upgrading down the line? If so where?

I am looking at buying the 5.1 set, it is really off-putting to me that the speakers have different ship dates: Do they all ship at the same time?

If they ship at different times does the 30 day trial start when the last one arrives?

The latest ship date when I first decided on the hybrid system was 6/13, so I figured I'd wait until closer to that date to decide and now shipping dates have moved into July - is this typical? Will they ever all be in stock so I don't have to wait a long time after buying to get my speakers?

    Any comments/suggestions/opinions would be appreciated.

    Re: Questions before buying

Welcome to the Aperion forums.  Some happy owners here!

Great system you have picked out there, very nice!

The 6T's are indeed the next generation of 633T's. They boast a new an muchly improved tweeter and better bass response with the all new woven fiberglass woofer!  If you could compare the two the thing that would stick out the most would probably be the better performance in the higher frequencies with the new tweeter followed by better midrange and bass response.  The new tweeter and cone material is found throughtout all of the new intimus lineups which makes it very easy to mix and match series while still maintaining tonal matches.  The new tweeter is cleaner and can pumle your AVR into submission without breaking a sweat!

The DB surrounds would fit in the Rear surround position in a 5.1...If you were going with a 7.1  you would keep the DB's in the rear surround and buy something like a 4B or 5B for the Back surround, behind the listening position.

Speakers are in backorder so it is important to get you order placed now so you don't miss the next cutoff date.  I think a lot of the stock coming in on June 13th is already sold.  So the July date is the next shipment date.  So it would be important to get in line...This stuff is  moving like hotcakes right now and they are trying to keep up with demand.  I would advise calling Aperion to see what the situation is.  They sometimes have ways of getting you what you are looking for in a more expedient manner..

For example ..If you are looking for 6T's then you are in luck.   here a link for open box 6T's $100 in the speaker close out area of the site.  If I were you I would jump all over them. http://www.aperionaudio.com/product/OPEN-BOX-Intimus-6T-Tower-Speaker,150,65,383.aspx

Aperion alos  has A stock merchandise they sell 15% off. Give them a call and see if they have anything available for you in A stock (As new)

Best of luck to you and call the Gurus tmrw!

    Re: Questions before buying

Looks like Dan has done most of my work here already. Big Smile

But I would just add that the open box 6Ts have already been snatched up by a lucky customer.  Also your 30 day trial will begin when you receive the last pieces of your order.

If you have any more specific questions just log into webchat or give us a call, thanks!
