Most post for a non Aperion owner

I have been doing my best to get the award for generating the most posts for any non Aperion owner.  I have worked very hard at it since early Feburary.  I guess it is time to shift my focus.

     Cheers

    Hey Russ,

I'm pretty sure you're the big winner for most posts by a non (yet) Aperion owner. I don't have a cool prize or a crown... but I can get you a hat or T-shirt!  Wait.. do you already have those too? Let me know.

Congrats and thanks! We sure enjoy having you around here!

    Joetag, Dan, Scottieman,

I tried to keep it quiet just to see if you guys were on your toes.  I figured I had lulled you you into writing me off by now!  It's been a long time coming but I am a patient man.  I will try not to get too bubbly but I am excited.

I'm am going to do this in steps so I am starting out with the 5Bs with i29 stands and an 8D sub.  I never was a bass head but it will be nice to have the lower range.  For now I will be pushing it with my old Onkyo 503 (75 W per).  It has serverd me for a few years now with a couple of 86 DB 6.5 in bookshelf speaker at quite loud levels so with the help of the sub I think I'll be fine.

The next step will a 5C and depending on how it sounds, and of course the cash, either 4Bs or 5Ts.  After that I am eyeing the new Onkyo 606 to complement a HD set.

Oh yea, I went with Black, but it was a hard choice.  They may arrive by Friday.  I can't wait.

    Cheers

Congratulation Russ!  Let us know how that 8D sounds!  What size room are you putting this in?

    Dan,

It is probably about 18 wide by 24 deep.  It is a living room open to the kitchen.  Sounds big for little speakers but like I said I have gotten along just fine with my 6.5 in bookshelf speakers.  Of course that was until the lead wire on the voice coil on one of the woofs broke.  I have soldered it twice and it worked fine until I cranked it up too far.  Don't think I can fix it again.  Sad to lose those old soldiers, they were exceptional speakers.

I will definatly give my opinions when I get them going.

FexEx is suppose to deliver Friday, I hope it rain this weekend!

    Cheers
