    Batman Begins

Anyone else have their copy pre-ordered?  Can't wait to watch it right before The Dark Knight!

    Re: Batman Begins

At the risk of being bubbly, Batman Begins was one of the first movies I played through my Aperions. I was absolutely floored by the sound, to the point I got giddy thinking....dayum, I have a theater in my house.

It is a fantastic movie to show off your system. By preorder, I am assuming you meant on Blu?

Yes Blu-Ray as I'm totally looking forward to watching it in 1080p with DTS MA or Dolby TrueHD...whichever comes first lol  And Jason only the cool kids can be in the circle and discuss all things blu-ray, but we may make an exception for you heh

I shall hang my head in shame and go back to the 480p table of the cafeteria.  EmbarrassedWink

People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along? Can we get along? Can we stop making it, making it horrible for the 480P people and their kids?...It’s just not right. It’s not right. It’s not, it’s not going to change anything.

What Rodney King meant to say....

I have yet to watch Batman Begins, and I really want to see The Dark Knight, so if chronological order is my name of the game then I guess I have some Netflickin to do...

In my opinion Batman Begins was by far the best of the Batman movies, that I saw.  I got bored after the first couple.  I read a very intresting article yesterday about the prouction.  It seems that the director is not a big fan of (pick your color) screening so most of the stunt are real, even ones you would never believe.  They are also talking pretty strongly about Heath Ledger getting nominated for ole Oscar.

    Cheers

I still like the 1989 original Tim Burton Batman the best, I like the way it was dark and brooding in the tradition of the comics but still had a sense of humor thanks to Nicholson.  Plus the art design is outstanding and the Elfman score is a classic.  But Batman Begins is definitely a close second and an excellent movie as well.

It's looking like Dark Knight could trump them all though, Ledger indeed looks like he completely immersed himself into the performance from the previews, what a shame. . .

    Re: Batman Begins

Yeah the original is still my favorite with Batman Begins right there with it.  I am looking forward to seeing The Dark Knight with a different Joker character but I'm sure the ghost of Joker past will be haunting me.  This Joker, however, will be more like the real Joker character...very psychotic, dark and sinnister.  Zimmer's score will provide the correct mood just as it did with Batman Begins and just as Elman's did with the first.

Midnight premiere for this one :)

    Quoted for truth...

But man did they start getting bad after Michael Keaton was the ol' bat. The one's with Clooney and Kilmer just stunk in my humblest of opinions...Although Jim Carey did play a rather good Riddler I thought.

Let's just pretend that Batman Forever and Batman and Robin never happened.  I'd rather watch the Adam West Batman, which was actually kind of fun IMO, than those pieces of garbage.
