    onkyo receiver help

I recently bought an Aperion system. It consists of a pair of 6bs for the front, a 6c for the center, and 4bs for the surrounds. I also bought an Onkyo tx-sr875. I finally get it set up and am running through the OSD in the receiver setup to setup my speakers. The reciever asks whether the speakers are six ohm or 4 ohm. All my speakers are 8 ohms according to the owner guides minus the center which is 6ohm. I currently have it set to 6 as there is no setting to set it to 8. Do I have this setup correctly? Any help would be appreciated.

    Re: onkyo receiver help

Hey MJ, I have some 5T's and 5C for the center and those are the same settings I use (6ohms) on my 805 receiver. Figured since 8 wasn't an option, 6 was the answer, although I'm no guru it seemed right.

6 Ohms will work just fine MJ. All this means is that your receiver will be giving your speakers a bit more power then if you had an 8 ohm setting. It's a non-issue for suer, so 6 ohms will be fine.
