Since I'm new to this Aperion stuff I thought I would introduce myself by posting pictures of my current HT and after I get my new speakers I will post pictures of the new stuff.

 I ordered the 6Bs as well as the 5Ts, in the end the 5Ts won. Both speakers sounded great! I mainly watch movies, but I do listen to quite a bit of classical music, and I think the 5Ts were better suited to my setup.

Some of the deciding factors;

1. No stands needed for 5Ts.
2. More versatile placement options due to the front porting.
3. A little clearer dialog during movies when matched with the 5C.
4. Mids seemed fuller during music.
5. I also noticed clearer imaging.
6. I think it is well matched with the 10D.

That's my 2 cents worth. I am really enjoying the new setup, especially the new Aperion speakers!

I'm really glad I found Aperion Audio, great speakers for the size, and a pretty darn good value too, and so far I would say some of the best customer service I've encountered in the past 20 years in any industry. I will recommend Aperion without hesitation.

Sorry but it's already posted on eBay and people are bidding on it.

I have collected many guitars over the years and currently have 8. My favorite guitar was custom made by a guy in Portland named Mike Doolin. I tried my hand at making a couple of guitars myself but had mixed results and decided that simpler woodworking like furniture and stuff like that was more my speed. The electric in the picture is a Custom Warrior 5 string bass. I'd be willing to trade it for some more speakers!

Very cool, yes I've heard of Doolin he definitely has quite the reputation.  That bass sure does look nice, maybe if I had an ounce of musical talent I'd be interested in setting up a trade, but unfortunately the only instrument I "play" is the stereo.

Bob Holo used to be our product manager here and he started his own custom guitar company.

I got my new speakers yesterday. I have owned Klipsch for many years and always thought they were excellent speakers, until now. This is the first time I have been able to demo speakers in my own home. I left the Klipsch speakers in place and put the Aperions beside them and then switched back and forth playing the same music and movie scenes. What a difference! The Klipsch just sounded harsh compared to the Aperions, when listening to the Klipsch the mid to high frequencies seemed to be coming out of the speakers where as the Aperions just disappeared into the room. The bass out of the Klipsch subwoofer is very boomy and muddy compared to the tight precise bass coming from the 10D. I've had other people tell me the Klipsch are all hype and not quality speakers. I always though they were just wrong. Now I have to admit I was wrong.

In the past I have always had to demo speakers at the dealer's showroom, always under less than ideal situations. Now that I've had the opportunity to demo new speakers at home, set up the way I want, I'll never go back to the dealer's showroom again.

I will be getting the 5Ts on Tuesday or Wednesday and demo them side by side with the 6Bs. I will post a picture of the completed setup after I make my choice.

Man.. it's really cool to see that it really is a small world with few degrees of separation. Doolin fills in for the guitar player in one of my bands from time to time. A top notch player and a great luthier to boot. Very cool.

Jim.. got any other basses you looking to offload? I might just be able to sort out a trade?
