    New to Aperion

I have started to look at upgrading my surround sound speaker system. I currently have B&W bookshelf speakers two in front and two in back. Have a Polk sub and not sure what the center is. Have a Yamaha 2500 dvd and amp. I like the sound i currently am getting but feel it is missing something. I have a perfect size family room, sort of a square/rectangle. not to big not to small.

Anyone I just came across the Aperion website..Never heard of Aperion before was looking at B&W or Klipsch surrond sound system. The more I read on here to more I became interested in Aperion. Not sure where to start. I am looking at a 5.1 hybrid not sure if it is the 4 seriers or 6 series. So any suggestions would be appreciated..I also would like to know how they compare to the B&W's

    Thanks so much

    Re: New to Aperion

It really depends on the size of your living room when deciding on which series.  I have a room that is about 18x18.  I have the 4 series hybrid and it's plenty loud.  The 8d rattles the walls if you want it to.  When deciding on speakers, I narrowed it down to the B&W's Sat's and the Aperions.  4T's win hands down.  I just got the 4B's this week to complete my system.  Fabulous system.   I believe I'd have to spend atleast twice what I paid to get the same quality.   If you listen to a lot of 2 channel stereo, you might consider the 5 or 6 series for the lower bass response.

I upgraded from a 7.1 Klipsch Reference Series System, did a side by side comparison and IMHO the Aperions kick the Klipsches butt! See this post to see what Aperions I have.

yah its safe to say whatever you looking for you will find it here for quite a bit cheaper. B&W has a long line of products, some of which far supass any price range here aperion. And b&W does make some really nice speakers. But what you will find here, is a fantastic line of products and prices, that are well pretty much unheard of for what your getting. I would honestly be suprised if aperion wasnt atleast half the cost of B&W competitor speaker. But hey you get a 30 in home trial... buy, you love it!

Thanks all for your responses, I decided to call aperion and spoke with Caleb, what a great guy he walked me through all my options, spend quite a bit of time with me on the phone. I walked away very impressed with not only him, but the company as a whole. He confirmed what I kind of knew where I was heading which is the hybrid 5. with some tweaks. I know from our phone call that I will be back and next time it is to purchase. It is not often that you find great customer service  these days and a company that stands by its product. I just found it tonight.

They are good folks there at Aperion.  Unlike some companies, at Aperion even after they get your money they still have great support.

Get that order in, that is when the fun begins.

    Cheers
