New construction mounting bracket for in-wall speakers?

I'm remodeling my house and intending to install some 6-IW speakers in the family room.  From looking through the installation manual, it seems that the only way to mount the speakers is with the brackets that grab on to the drywall.  This is probably fine, but I'm wondering if there is any other option given that my walls are currently bare to the studs.  I've seen other new-construction speaker mounts that attach directly to the studs, presumably providing a sturdier connection to the wall and potentially improving the sound quality.  Does such a mount exist for the 6-IWs?  Has anybody else done anything like this?

    Hey Mike,

I don't know of any mount like that, and the speakers are what is called an open baffle design so they aren't meant to have anything behind them so I doubt mounting to a stud would improve the sound quality.

The speakers themselves don't weigh much so just popping them into the drywall works great.

Okay, it sounds like the answer is no for Aperion.  It's not the weight I was worried about.  I just presume that the sturdier the mount, the more precisely the woofer would move in response to the audio signal, thus resulting in better performance.  I think the drywall mounting will be fine, but if there was another option I just wanted to know about it.

FYI, here are the kind of brackets I was thinking of:

Cool, thanks for the links, they may come in handy for someone who doesn't have drywall.

But I don't think using such a bracket will affect the sound one way or the other.
