Looks great!  I have the exact same A/V rack you have, and am strongly considering the 4T Hybrid system with a 606 or 706.  How does it sound with the 606 for TV/Movies/Music?

By the way are those actually 4Ts?  They look almost like 5Ts judging by their size, although maybe it's just the camera angle.

Nice set up, although it looks like it may be time to get a universal remote!  Wink

Yes the 5Ts are not much larger than the 4Ts, just one inch wide, one inch deeper and four inches taller.

Next on my list, gonna pick up one of those Logictech Harmony ones.

Also the speakers sound incredible...great considering they still have to be 'broken in'. The sub is crazy, i live an apartment so i can't 'test' it like i want to, but even at low volumes i can feel the power Big Smile

Re: My 4T Hybrid SD set up

Yea the 650,750 and 850 have the touch of color. The 650 only has the red border on the top an bottom of the frame. Very nice picture for an LCD.

Re: My 4T Hybrid SD set up

Should be a good pickup for you Marc.  I have the Harmony 880 remote and it works great for everything I have, even the new Oppo BDP-83.  It's very easy to customize too via the computer interface.  For example, since my Oppo is connected to my multi--channel inputs on my older Onkyo 703, it's not a standard audio input.  It was easy to program the 880 to switch over to the multi-channel input.  It even runs my Xbox 360.

It's the only remote on my coffee table.  All my other remotes are in my closet since I don't need them.

Tell us about the new Oppo.  The reviewers have been gushing over it.

Re: My 4T Hybrid SD set up

Russ, let me just say that the reviewers are spot on.  Best Blu-ray player out there in my opinion.  The quality on both the video and audio is fantastic.  .  And it is fast!  Even BD-Live discs display quickly from tray load.  I am used to Blu-ray players where you load a disc and then you can pop your popcorn get a soda and come back and they'll still be at the "loading" screen (ok - slight exaggeration).  Not so with the Oppo.  I keep meaning to do a little timed test with load to display times with it.  But it seems like every time I go to try to set that up, I end up forgetting and watching the movie I just loaded because it looks and sounds so good.

And that I can play practically every format of CD and DVD (except HD-DVD of course) is a plus too.

They just released a firmware update for it this week (officially - it's been in beta release for a month).  I plan on applying the update this weekend.  Even that is supposedly effortless in that if the player is connected to the internet, it will notify you of the update.

The definitely thought this one through.  I highly recommend it personally.

Hey Marc.  I see you have a PS3.  Now that you have a sweet universal remote, I strongly suggest you get the Harmony PS3 adapter.  I have a Harmony 720 and I've been using the Harmony adaptor with my PS3 for a couple of months now.  It works great- I truly only need one remote!

Re: My 4T Hybrid SD set up

Can that adaptor turn the PS3 On and Off?

I thought I read a review for it and it said it was powered by a USB dongle, and would not turn the PS3 on.

If I can't turn the PS3 on/off with one remote, no way am I paying $60 for it.

Yes.  This is the adapter you've been looking for.  I have one with my Harmony One and it works brilliantly.
