Hi,
I have my 522Ds mounted as rear speakers on walls in my HT setup. In order to better hide the wires along the wall (I don't want to go behind the wall) I was thinking of using "invisible wire", such as those made by DeCorp (http://www.decorp.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=DA&Category_Code=FLTW)
for the portion along the wall. So I'd have the Monster 16-gauge wire that Aperion sent me running about 45 ft along the edge of the wall and then interconnected with 18-gauge invisible wire running 8-9 feet up the wall. For the other speaker the runs would be 25ft with 16 AWG wire and again 8-9ft of 18-AWG wire. I will use gold connectors to interconnect both wires.
I know it's not optimal, but does anybody see any real problem mixing 2 gauge wires in a single run for the surrounds?
Thanks for your help,
Sany.
