My old system consisted of 2 Bose AM7's, front center and surround about 12 years old. I bought the Bose because they were visually invisible. Unfortunately so was the sound.

I was never to happy with Bose bass output, so after a lot of research I purchased the S-10 sub from Aperion. I did not know what I was missing. I had to anchor all wall hangings with double backed tape and suppress vibration in the fireplace insert.

I was so impressed with the S-10 that I purchased the 534-ss. The 534's so overpowered my main Bose that I moved the Bose to Surround and Surround Back.

I moved the 534's to main front and that works for me. I use the 534's in dipole which have a lot better frequency response than listed in specs on Aperion site. There may be a mistake in the spec posting.
In all sound settings the 534's have better Bass,midrange and trebble than the Bose ever did, that is why the Bose are surround only...
