I would really appreciate if I can I have any help with this:

As said on other posts, after much investigating I went with Aperion (532 Intimus with the VAC and Sub-8) with an Onyo 805.

I am a total newbie, I like music and watching movies and have always wanted to have a Top of the line HT.... which I now have! ;)

 I have several questions so that I get to understand how this thing works:

1. The Onkyo reciever is connected to my SAT reciever and works well, speakers are connected also and the sub is connected with the Y adapter.

When I change between the different sound options on my Onkyo sometimes the sub and surrounds does not sound... but if I set it to Stereo in all Channel they do work? If I change to THX, NEO or any different sound setting sound seems not to be as good as it should, and I have to leave really low the power of the sub so that the hummmm fades...

I already did the autocalibration with the Onkyo, thing is that the room is small, and speakers are not far from each other...

2. My DVD is connected through component video cable, and I see the video in my TV but when connected with the Digital Coax I hear no sound, then I had to connect standard RCA cables to  my reciever.... what is the point!?

I would really appreciate in any help given.
