hi, I don't have any of the calibration discs mentioned, but I was thinking I could make my own. I think my yamaha rxv1700 has a 7 band eq inside, I was thinking of burning a CD with 7 different tracks each with a sine wave tone generated at 0db RMS power, one for each frequency of the yamaha's EQ bands...
so the question is, would I still use the C setting on the aperion SPL meter? or would I adjust this using A.. ? A is how we humans perceive the sound, correct?, so maybe I'd want to measure with A?
See anything flawed with my home-brew-calibration-disc idea?
Another question, are there any free calibration discs out there that are good?
