    2-channel with 4B

    Hello all,

My girlfriend is moving into a small studio that her landlord just built, which is a "tiny home". It is 11.5' wide, has a 13' peaked ceiling, and is about 25' from end to end. The entire ceiling is visible, and a little less than half of the house has a loft, which is 7' high. Below the loft is a kitchen, and a wall that seals off the bathroom and closet. So I've calculated that the volume of the room 1320 cubic feet. and the square footage is roughly 750 ft. sq.

So, she was interested in upgrading her speakers. She loves music of all kinds. Musical clarity is important to her, but so is having some thump. She curerently has a small JBL 2.1 computer system, which is distorted pretty much any time she plays a bass-heavy track.

So my questions are: Would it make sense for her to upgrade to a pair of 4Bs and a decent stereo amp? Would the 5Bs be the minimum you would go with for a tight budget? Would the 4Bs be great if she was planning on getting a sub woofer at some point?

The amp I had in mind was the Onkyo TX-8555, which is 100w/channel RMS. She isn't interested in a surround system.

    Thanks in advance!
