    Crossover on H/K 635

I'm trying to figure out what crossover to use with my 422s 522s and 422 center. Do I set them all at 100, or do I set the 422s at 100 and the 522 at 80?

    Hi Angel,

If you can have different crossover settings, set the 522's at 80Hz and the 422's at 100Hz. If not, set them all at 80Hz and make sure your subwoofer is set about 20Hz higher than your lowest speaker  crossover setting. This will compensate for the crossover slope on the subwoofer and receiver which will give you a seamless blend

Well, since the thread already exists, another question: I've had my pair of 632s for a few months now, and only recently thought to check the crossover settings as well as the speaker size on my HK635. (Yeah, sometimes I can be a little slow...) But now I'm not sure what the proper settings would be. Do I set speaker size to large since the 632s go down to 46Hz? And since I don't have a sub, do I need to set a crossover? It was set for 100Hz, and goes down in increments of 20, but I don't know if I should set it at 60 or at 40, which would be slightly below what the 632s are capable of. Any guidance would be great.

    Hi Dustin,

Since you are not using a subwoofer, go ahead and set the speakers to large and set the subwoofer to "no' or "off". This will route all the bass info to your main speakers so you will get all the range that they can produce. Providing you don't abuse them, there shouldn't be any problem.
