    HD antenna

Hey all, did a search and didn't find a topic on this.

Is anyone using one of these to grab free over the air HD?  Is it worth it, and do the channel lineups only include broadcast network TV, like Fox, CBS, etc...

    Many thanks.

    Re: HD antenna

I tried one of these couple years ago with some luck. No longer use it though. Was able to get local channels as well as few others that would have cost money. Sorry can't remember them all. Not very reliable but not awful, it is an antenna after all.

Only tried it because it was an open box deal at BB for real cheap. Placement is very important, also what type of area you live in.

Forgot to add it was a TERK Indoor Amplified one (needs power). Also pulled in some digital channels. Beats rabbit ears Wink

    Hope that helps

    Re: HD antenna

I use a Monoprice antenna that I hide inside behind my HD TV.  The antenna is by a window that is about 15 miles away from the local transmission towers.  I get about 15 channels.  All but NBC HD are pretty good and free can't be beat!  Occasionally, I have to move my antenna a bit if the over the air reception is breaking up.

Thanks for the responses.  Do you guys know if there is a website with tower locations and channels listed?

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

Best place I have found is tvfool.com.  They do some really cool stuff there.  Sometimes I go there just to play around.  I believe they even have a google earth plug in.

    Cheers
