It is all the DVD players. My wife and I are big movie buffs. She ran AMC theaters for 10 years before becoming a programmer. That is how we got the one sheets hanging above the system. The three silver mega DVD changers are all controlled by the Escient media controller, top right unit on the shelf below the TV. The bottom silver units are the cable box and a single DVD player. The top two black units on the other rack are also mega DVD players. We had those before buying the Escient unit. They did not have RS232 ports, which is why we had to buy the silver DVD changes. We keep movies in the silver players and our collection of TV shows in the black units. The bottom black unit is a CD mega player. Across the top shelf on the TV stand is a PS2, Monster power conditioner, and the Escient unit. On the bottom shelf is a VHS, used to off load shows from the cable box as needed, battery backup for the TV and the Onkyo 830 AV receiver.
The 830 was one of very few 7.1 AV receivers below $1,000 I found with 2 HDMI and 3 component video inputs. The silver units in the right rack use the component inputs (the mega DVDs via the Escient box) and the 2 black DVD players use the HDMI. Unfortunately, the 830 does not output the HDMI to the component out to the TV so I have to switch the TV to its HDMI input to watch one of our TV shows. The PS2 and VCR are directly connected to the TV via S video.
The 533 PTs arrive on Monday and the 532 surrounds on Tuesday. The 533 VAC is backordered until mid Feb.
